This Saturday is World Inflammatory Bowel Disease Day. This day is recognized all over the world in order to raise awareness about two chronic inflammatory bowel disease conditions, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
These two diseases affect approximately five million people worldwide. Most people who suffer from one of these conditions are diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 30.
On May 19, there will be several awareness events taking place in order to inform the public about this chronic condition. A purple virtual ribbon has been created for the IBD day, and people are encouraged to download and share the ribbon with family and friends.
Crohn’s disease can develop as a result of taking the acne medication, Accutane. If you suffer from Crohn’s disease and were once prescribed to Accutane, please contact the Accutane Crohn’s disease lawyers of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-761-3187 today.
