A new study suggests that climate has a significant connection to the development of irritable bowl diseases such as; ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

The study consisted of over 238,000 women and showed that women who lived in a warmer, sunnier climate were less likely to develop ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease. The overall results revealed that women who resided in Southern regions that received a good amount of sunlight were 52 percent less likely to develop Crohn’s disease by 30-years-old than women living in Northern regions.
